In theory, it may not be acceptable! But in practice, we feel that it is very much required, particularly in the case of spelling variants.

Now I realize, why we shouldn't violate certain theoretical foundations - while revising the relations pertaining to the descriptor `Apiculture'.

bee keeping - Use Apiculture
but it shouldn't be
bee keeping-->beekeeping Use Apiculture
So, a Non-descriptor shouldn't have another non-descriptor for itself. But I am still in favor of some mechanism which can link spelling variants like `beekeeping' and `bee keeping'.
